Week 7 Reflection

 This week I learned a lot about keywords and how to use Google Ads. Using keywords and Google Ads will help your company gain clicks, and ultimately increase sales. Finding keywords for your product can be a bit difficult. I found that I was struggling to find multiple keywords for my stock photos that I am selling. I did not want to be too broad, but also not too specific. Finding a right middle ground is important with keywords. I am glad that Google Ads shows your businesses statistics so that you can quantify things. Knowing which keywords are doing better than others will help you connect with your audience. I am excited to start using my keywords and seeing how it impacts my business. I am also excited to see which stock photo people buy the most. This will help me create more keywords and tailor my business to my audience.

Week 6 reflection

 This week I learned a lot about legalities and having a business license. Although it was a bit confusing, I feel like my discussion boards have really helped me. People have been able to share links with me that outline how to start a business step by step. This link has helped me relax and be able to see the steps more clearly. I also learned that the license that I need will be an Idaho license. Residing in multiple places throughout the year can make creating a business confusing. I also learned that there are some states that you have to charge sales tax with. Understanding these legalities has helped me see how to keep my business safe, and to become an official LLC. The business I am creating is also associated with Shopify. Shopify has their own laws that you need to follow to stay associated with them. It is important to follow these so that your business does not get shut down. With a business you get so excited about the creative side and selling side of the business. Sometimes it is easy to forget you need to look at the laws. This is one of the most important parts to setting up a business. 

Week 5 reflection

 This week I have learned a lot about setting up Payment methods with my business. Using a PayPal checkout button is smart for me and my company because it will help people to trust it. There are a lot of scammers today and using a PayPal button will help build loyalty. I have also learned a lot about how I want to design my website. It really helped looking at other successful companies that sell the same product that I am selling. This helped me visualize what I can do with my business. Having drop down menus is important because it can make your business page look professional and trustworthy. Using professional photography will also help me sell my items. I am a photographer so I can take my own marketing photos. This is a great skill with my business because I can save a lot of money with my product photos. Overall, I have learned a lot about payment methods and design this week.
